Pictures Are Worth 1,000 Words

I must say sometimes these silly clichés are true. When you're losing weight, sometimes you really don't feel any changes and it starts to discourage you a little bit. Meanwhile, there are changes taking place that are noticeable, it's just hard to see when you see yourself each and every day. Today, I got on the scale, even though it isn't my weigh in day, and I was .4 lbs shy of being down a total of 30 lbs. I felt so good about it, I decided to take a picture, even though that's supposed to happed once I finally reach the 30 lb mark. I had my wonderful sister-in-law Wendi put three pictures together for me to show my progress thus far. The first one I started with I was already down 6 lbs, the second one I was down 15 lbs, and the last one I am down 29.6 lbs. Each picture is a size smaller in jeans, and the last picture I was wearing a shirt that is more form fitting, something I wouldn't have even dared to do a few months ago.

I've definitely noticed changes in my clothing, but its nice to see, with my own eyes, the progress that I am making and the changes taking place. (sorry the pictures are a little blurry)

Oh, by the way...I always read your (and Wendi's) blogs and love them. It's my horrible way of keeping up with the fam without actually calling ;)

Gabbi,

Joia here... I'm a friend (and fellow military wife) of Wendi's. I randomly read your blog about six weeks ago... and today I thought I'd check back and see how you're doing... Wow! Look at you go! That's awesome - keep up the good work!

Your daughter, by the way is a beautiful six year old.. how blessed you are. =)
