Since I had put in 6 days this week of exercise, I decided to take the day off yesterday to give my body a little break. I plan on doing some elliptical tonight, and perhaps some walking/jogging afterwards. We'll see. Not sure about the walking/jogging part yet.
As far as my weight loss for the week, I have decided to start weighing myself on Friday mornings. Ray suggested it because while it's not necessarily giving me free reign over what I eat on the weekends, I tend to usually have the bulk of my extra points remaining at the end of the week. So even though I am within the allowed points for the week, if I'm eating more one day than the others, it shows up on the scale, and since this happens on the weekend, it shows up on the scale on Mondays. Now, I'm not going to worry about what the scale says on Monday, and I will weigh in on Fridays to eliminate that factor. I will still stay on track and stay within my points, but I'll just be weighing a different day.
So I say all that to say that on Friday I was down 1.8lbs, which makes a total of 20.4lbs lost. I would love to be down another 5-10lbs by August 15th (Grace's first day of school), and another 6-12lbs on top of that by Grace's birthday. Those are my next two goals. If I could be down another 17lbs by Grace's birthday, I will be one HAPPY camper, and if I pulled that off, I would weigh right about where I weighed when Grace was born 5 years ago (well, about 2 weeks after, but you get the idea). Wow, that would be really cool. Seventeen pounds in 7 weeks. It's possible, but that would be an average of 2.4 lbs a week, and that's not my average, but even with my average weight loss per week, I will be close to that number. So, I will watch what I eat, watch my portions, and exercise. That's the best I could do and I'll have to let my body do the rest. I am going to try extra hard to be careful with figuring out my points for things. I do a lot of eyeballing and I really need to make sure things are as accurate as they can be. I could be going over my points without even knowing it.
